Yuying Fan was an intern in Harvard Ophthalmology AI Lab from July to August 2019. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2016, she worked as a student researcher at Mass. Eye and Ear and studied the relationship between genetic mutations and glaucoma pathogenesis. She joined Dr. Elze’s lab in 2019 and is now working on constructing more accurate prediction models for the test-retest variability of visual field test results and for the progression rate of glaucoma from the early stage by incorporating archetypal analysis in clinical statistical analysis.
