Biography

Yan Luo is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Harvard Ophthalmology AI Lab. He obtained a PhD degree in computer science from the University of Minnesota, where his research focused on the development of artificial general intelligence and enhancing deep learning methods to align with societal values, particularly in the realm of responsible AI. Following the completion of his doctoral degree, Yan joined Dr. Mengyu Wang’s lab to delve into the applications of AI in medicine and equitable deep learning. In his current role as a postdoctoral researcher, Yan’s primary research objective is to leverage deep learning and AI techniques to advance the understanding and diagnosis of eye diseases.
