Biography

Taibo grew up in Beijing, China and attended MIT for undergraduate studies in electrical engineering and computer science, where he discovered his interest in medicine and ophthalmology through working with Dr. Wang and Dr. Shen on building statistical models to analyze swept-source OCT data in glaucoma patients. He is currently an MD/PhD candidate at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine where his PhD research focuses on applying machine learning to understand complex biological systems using multimodal omic datasets.
