Biography

Luo is currently pursuing a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at The University of Queensland, with an anticipated graduation in July 2025. Prior to his current studies, Luo earned an MSc in Biomedical Science from The University of Texas MD Anderson UT Health. During his master’s program, Luo led a project in the design and implementation of a miRNA motif searching web server. He joined Dr.Wang’s lab as volunteer researcher from January 2023. His work primarily involves the application of unsupervised machine learning algorithms to build predictive models. These models aim to detect the progression of visual field loss and uncover genetic correlations in patients with glaucoma. The Shiba Inu in photo is Yoko, my cutest daughter.
