Biography

Next Position after Training Completion: Postdoctoral Researcher at University of Udine.

Axel De Nardin is currently a PhD student at the Artificial Vision and Real-Time System (AViReS) Lab of the University of Udine, under the supervision of Professor Gian Luca Foresti and Professor Claudio Piciarelli, where he focused on the problem of image segmentation in low data settings. 

He obtained his double Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Applied Informatics, with honors, at the University of Udine and the University of Klagenfurt in 2020.

He joined the Harvard Opthalmology AI lab as a visiting graduate student under Dr. Wang’s supervision on February 2023, where he worked on the development of a framework for the cross-sectional and longitudinal analysis of the correlation between cup-to-disc ratios at different angles and the respective visual fields associated with the patients.
