Our lab member, Vasil Kostin, who graduated from the Third Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in the Czech Republic, has secured a PhD position at the University of Oxford in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences within the Clinical Ophthalmology Research Group. He has also been awarded a prestigious Macular Society PhD Research Grant, and he will be focusing on developing gene therapy for ABCA4 Stargardt disease under the supervision of Dr. Robert MacLaren.
