Yan Luo, PhD, joined our lab. He obtained his PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, where he was advised by Dr. Qi Zhao. His research interests lie in human-like machine intelligence, e.g., improving the generalizability, transferability, and trustworthiness of machine intelligence so that the machine intelligence can think and work like humans. In Dr. Mengyu Wang’s lab, he is interested in leveraging large-scale high-quality ophthalmic imaging data and deep learning techniques to better understand the connection between human vision and computer vision.
