Massachusetts Eye and Ear Clinical Data Science Institute is focused on leveraging the proliferation of large clinical data sets and new developments in artificial intelligence to enhance the state of the art in ophthalmic patient care.
The institute is home to a diverse team of leading computer scientists and experienced clinicians specializing in ophthalmic diseases. Through this unique collaboration, we are dedicated to uncovering insights and advancing knowledge on some of the most devastating eye diseases, such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration.
Our researchers have access to several national and local databases, such as the AAO IRIS® Registry, Mass General Brigham Biobank, and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Ophthalmic Imaging and Testing Registry. We also have access to Mass General Brigham’s ERIS high-performance computing facilities for computationally intensive modeling.
