Dr. Mengyu Wang was awarded a Grimshaw-Gudewicz Grant titled “Developing Deep Learning Models to Predict Age-Related Macular Degeneration and Its Progression”. In this project, we will develop deep learning models to best use the abundant but underused information encoded in the macular retinal layer thickness maps to improve the risk assessment of age-related macular degeneration and its progression.
