Dr. Mengyu Wang was selected for Emerging Vision Scientist Program organized by Alliance for Eye and Vision Research (AEVR). On September 21, 2023, AEVR’s Research Saving Sight, Restoring Vision Initiative hosted the Ninth Annual Emerging Vision Scientists Day, which was supported by a grant from Research to Prevent Blindness. 30 early-stage investigators from around the country, reflecting the breadth of basic and clinical vision research, visited congressional offices to advocate for NIH and NEI funding increase.
