Hannah Rana is a postdoctoral researcher in the Harvard Ophthalmology AI Lab working under Dr Tobias Elze. She won the prize for best poster award in the Basic and Translational Science category at the 2025 Harvard Ophthalmology Department Annual Meeting. Her recognized work is titled “Retinal encoding using a difference of Gaussians filter: Advancing spiking neural networks for inspiring retinal prosthetics for human vision restoration”, for which she is the leading author and co-authors are Mohammad Eslami, Michael Morley, Nazlee Zebardast, Mengyu Wang, and Tobias Elze.
